| Most alcoholics and drug addicts
stop maturing at about the same time they begin abusing their drug
of choice. When a client stops the abusive behavior and cleans up,
they are usually stuck in some immature places. Life gets difficult.
Therapy with an objective yet
compassionate counselor is a great benefit to the recovery. Since
recovery is interrupted by temptation, confusion and sometimes
periods of (non-clinical) depression, having a support system is
critical. A support system which includes a drug and alcohol
therapist adds a modicum of insurance.
Hours are scheduled on a regular
basis to add continuity to what is usually a haphazard life routine. |
